PRSA presents: Buzz Generation, Guerilla Marketing and Branding via Social Media and Social Networking
June 22, 2008 by Kristie Wells
Do your eyes glaze over when you hear terms like social media optimization and social network marketing? Have you ever wondered how all these new media terms really work and what they mean anyway? You may know that one of these terms helps generate publicity and one is a form of Internet marketing, but do you know how to use them in your daily work?
Now’s your chance to find out in a fun and informative presentation from the San Francisco chapter of PRSA this Thursday, June 26th from 7:30am-9:30am. Digital Strategist and Founder of Social Media Club, Chris Heuer*, will discuss best practices developed from a decade-long career building online communities, while developing the careers of well-known bloggers, podcasters, community builders and social networkers.
Case studies will illustrate how businesses and organizations utilize social networks and social media outlets to establish and grow brands online, build an audience of potential clients and ring the register. Discussion will range from basic search engine optimization (SEO), search engine marketing (SEM), and social media optimization (SMO) best practices to tactics you can implement right away.
You can register for this event online, and we hope to see you there!
*Our good friend Giovanni Gallucci was scheduled to give the presentation, but unfortunately could not make it due to a scheduling conflict, so we would like to thank him for passing the baton over to Chris.
