You are what you feed

I’m at the Reuters and Attention Trust Open Data seminar/workshop today.
Dick from feedburner is talking about how ’subscribers are the new publishers.’
What I’m getting from his talk is that, as everyone uses lots of services, feeds, flickr, stumble, etc. that you don’t even have to be a blogger to be a publisher. A service that aggregates what you read and what feeds you have may be enough.
People watch what Scoble reads on his Google Reader. In the future- you are what you feed… more to follow.
(cross posted to my Random Thoughts blog as well).

Dick Costolo is one of the smartest people I know in this business. Always someone people should pay attention to…
Of course, he is right with this, we can easily publish our attention, and with such feeds there is a lot of interesting information in the overlap that will go a long way towards increasing the relevance of reccomednation engines.
With the addition of just a bit of metadata via tags, a quick insight or the connection of its relationship to other content, the value goes through the roof for the person enriching their attention stream and for everyone else.
