Social Media Club’s NYC meeting 2-20-07

February 21, 2007 by Howard Greenstein

We had a really interesting and thought-provoking meeting last night where the main topic was “How is Social Media changing the Election process for 2008.” Our discussion leaders included Sanford Dickert, former CTO, Kerry for President 2004, Noel Hidalgo, advocate and futurist and Joshua Levy, associate editor of Personal Democracy Forum.

Michael Meyers of NowPublic did his bit as a citizen journalist by taking photos of the event.
Still to come - audio of the entire event, and several people who promised to blog this discussion.

Great meeting. As you asked us to blog about the meeting, do you want us to post our replies here or post them on our own blogs with links here, or some other way?

It’s fine to write on your own site and link back to here!

I had a great time, despite some technical (now learning that it’s server-side) issues with my demo.

Anyway, the whole MoveOn thing still baffles me. MoveOn IS Social Media and it was NEVER mentioned in the discussion until I brought it up in the small group talk. Anyway, I posted my views on why MoveOn should have been mentioned here, and I’ve linked back to this post to make it go full circle!
    See you all soon.

[...] That’s the question I posed at the Social Media Club meeting (where I presented the BricaBox Platform) on Tuesday. [...]
