Society for New Communications Research Symposium & Awards Gala

The Society for New Communications Research (SNCR) is a nonprofit global think tank dedicated to the advanced study of new media and emerging modes of communication and their effect on media, business and society.

The SNCR Symposium & Awards Gala is coming up on November 1 – 2, 2006 in Boston, MA.  There you will be among the first to hear the latest research on Social Media initiatives and programs and winning case studies from around the globe. The Symposium will feature a keynote by SNCR Fellow and journalist Paul Gillin titled “The New Influencers: How Social Media is Revolutionizing Media and Markets.”

Other presentations will include: Corporate Blogging Policy Best Practices, The Emergence of Blogging in University Admissions & Recruiting, The State of the Art in Social Media and Podcasts: Download or Broadcast – Legal Implications.  Chris Heuer will also be presenting on the hRelease Microformat – a new way of distributing Social Media Releases through RSS.
