Social Media Club - Washington D.C.
October 5, 2006 by Kristie Wells
I figured the East Coasters haven’t had enough of us yet, so we are headed back to officially launch the local chapter of Social Media Club (’SMC’) in D.C. The gathering will take place on Monday, October 30th from 6pm to 8pm at the downtown offices of Fleishman Hillard and drinks and light snacks will be provided. All we ask is that you pre-register so we may prep for your arrival.
Following the meeting, we will head off to a blogger* dinner as snacks can only last so long. We gave the Daily Grill our money last time we were in town, but thought we would checkout a new spot, so if you have any recommendations - please let us know in the comments below.
See you in D.C.!
*You don’t have to blog to attend the dinner party, so I don’t know why I said that, especially as now it has required this disclaimer. :) All you need is a few dollars in your pocket to cover your dinner bill.

Yeah! I was wondering when DC would get a little luvin!

Buffalo Billiards, only a 3 minute walk from Fleishman. Always a fun plac.
Good suggestion Andrea - let’s plan for it
We look forward to you coming East. I would love to have a few of our 360 Digital Influence team join.
The thing to keep in mind about BBilliards, Andrea, is how bloody noisy it is. But I have vowed to go with the flow wherever you decide…
John - we look forward to seeing you and a few members of your team - should make for a great discussion
Will be there, looking forward; if the location for dinner afterwards is still under discussion, there’s a place nearby called Eli’s Deli (20th and N). It’s somewhat small, so if there are many people coming, it might not work.
[...] Chris Heuer and the Social Media Club are coming to DC on Monday October 30th. Register here (it’s free), and there’s a blogger dinner afterwards as well. [...]
Hi Greg,
The dinner discussion is still happening as Buffalo Billards would not hold a reservation for a group unless we booked the back room (something like $200 plus a food minimum). I said ‘no thanks’. We can either take our chances they are slow and get a walk in reservation at BB, or we can find another place. I have no idea how many folks want to go to dinner afterwards which makes reservations a little tricky. But having Eli’s as a backup is great. Thanks Greg!
OK; Here’s a link to Eli’s if anyone is interested in checking it out.
